Leaving Las Vegas
Leaving Las Vegas behind, a Union Pacific coal train climbs out of the basin and begins its long trek to Provo and the mountains of Utah, where it will refill the empty hopper cars. In the near distance is the La Madre Mountains and beyond are the Spring Mountains which rise about 10,000 feet above the surrounding land.
